Martin Salemi and Boris Schmidt first met in Brussels at jamsessions a few years ago. Since then they’ve collaborated in several jazz and world music projects. Soon after Schmidt invited Salemi to join his quartet for a special anniversary concert presenting his album “Now”, the favour was returned when Salemi chose his rhythm section for his new trio album “About Time” with Daniel Jonkers on drums. This record was published in 2021 on IGLOO Records followed by a national tour.

Their complicity and shared love of a varied repertoire has motivated them to play in duo and push their musical conversation to the next level. Their concerts combine original compositions  by both as well as some jazz standards and South American traditionals.
