CARTE BLANCHE TO THOMAS CHAMPAGNE

Thomas Champagne and Nicholas Yates are playing together since more than 20 years !

In Thomas Champagne Trio, they shared the stage during more than 10 years and recorded an album for Igloo Records in 2008 (« Charon’s Boat »).

Together, they co-lead the hardbop Quintet The Sidewinders (« A little Busy » released on 2012 on Igloo Records) and wrote the show GribouJazz, a kids project touring since 2016.

In 2020, when the whole world collapsed, they kept practicing in duo to not fall into the silence. Thomas Champagne, mostly known as an alto player, challenged himself with the choice of the tenor saxophone for this project. They choose for you their favourite standards.
