Daniele Martini: sax
Simon Groppe: piano
Soet Kempeneer: double bass
Marek Patrman: drums
Born in Italy but based in Brussels for many years, Daniele Martini is a bold and eclectic saxophonist, active across both jazz and experimental circles. For this occasion, he’s joined by some of the most exciting talents on the Belgian scene.
At the piano, the dazzling imagination of rising Frenchman Simon Groppe meets the strength and agility of Flemish bassist Soet Kempeneer, while the drumming mastery of Tchek Marek Patrman drives the ensemble forward. Together with Martini’s spontaneous, in-the-moment improvisations, they create an explosive mix that draws on the tradition of jazz while refusing to be confined by borders.
After their opening set, the evening will continue with a jazz jam session — all musicians are warmly invited to bring their instruments and join in.
