Back in his hometown of Brussels after spending half of his life between NYC and Berlin, Belgian guitar master Jeanfrançois Prins returns to the Music Village with a brand-new concept and band: “Masters of Melody and Groove”.

Prins has shared the stage and recorded with such masters as Lee Konitz, Toots Thielemans, Patti Austin, Ivan Lins, and Eddie Gomez.

For this new band, he has convened old and new friends: Dutch piano virtuoso Jasper Soffers (Till Brönner, Roy Hargrove, Marcus Miller, Métropole Orchestra), and US young lions Jasen Weaver (Donald Harrison, Jason Marsalis, Jeremy Pelt) on bass, and James Williams (Gary Burton, Patrice Rushen, Wynton Marsalis) on drums.
