    PURE ENTERTAINMENT

    The Music Village Rue des Pierres 50 Steenstraat, Brussels, Belgium

    Bruce Ellison & The Jellodies
    Tribute to Fats Waller & Louis Armstrong

    Bruce Ellison (vocal)
    Patrick Louis (guitar-vocal)
    Druss Lecomte (piano-vocal)
    Guillaume Durieux (double bass-vocal)

    Bruce Ellison began as a mime and voice-over artist for American television, as well as in musicals. In 1981, he arrived in Paris and joined the Marceau mime school. Founder with Michel Carcan of the Théâtre de la Mandragore, he also lends his voice to a number of advertising campaigns as well as children's programs. He is also the lead singer of the rock band PPZ30. He is the director and actor of the strange Mister Knight. With The Jellodies he proves to be an excellent singer in the color and antics of Thomas Fats Waller and the sung Jazz of Louis Armstrong

    The Jellodies is a group inspired by the famous trio: Art Tatum-Charlie Christian-Ray Brown:

    Pat Louis (guitar and vocals) who moves from blues to jazz repertoire with a playing marked in particular by Freddie Green, Tiny Grimes and the great Charlie Christian;

    Druss Lecomte (piano and vocals) whose colorful playing will remind you of the swing of Count Basie and Nat King Cole, the stride of Thomas "Fats" Waller, James P. Johnson, the humor of Erroll Garner, the playing of 'Art Tatum. He opened for Fats Domino and Ray Charles. He has a long career as a jazz, blues, ragtime, stride piano, swing and boogie woogie pianist. At his first concert, at the Os à Moelle in Brussels, he was only...17 years old;

    Guillaume Durieux (double bass and vocals), the youngest of the trio, already has superb technique and very high level slap.

    The Jellodies is the swing and jive of the Nat King Cole Trio, Count Basie's rhythm section but also Willie Dixon's Big Three Trio, all this for our greatest happiness, "groove" wickedly!.. .

    The alchemy that results from the meeting between Bruce Ellison and The Jellodies is absolutely magical.

    Gert Malfliet: drums
    Gregory Van Seghbroeck: sousaphone

    A rather young band. Formed in the disastrous year 2020. You know, Covid. Separate journeys have brought some of the musicians to the wonderful, sizzling and bedazzling city of New Orleans, the birthplace of jazz. Mesmerized by its culture and above all by its music, they decided to take all this beauty back to Belgium and formed NO Pareto. Drawing on a vast array of musical influences, they take their audience on a wonderful, relaxing and blissful trip to one of the most amazing places on earth. Imagine yourself somewhere in sunny New Orleans. On the corner of the street, suddenly fine music, from when the Jazz began, echoes in the open. Of course, we have entered the 21st century, so it should not always sound so dusty any more. But the atmosphere, the cosiness, the swinging ... in short, what makes New Orleans, New Orleans, is still as clear as a bell. Dance, sing, clap, wiggle, ... along with this 5-piece force of beautiful musicians.

    Vlad Tolordava – Trumpet
    Jonas Le Roy – Saxophone
    Matteo Di Leonardo – Guitar

    SH Group presents Playing for Change, the new album coming February 20, 2026.

    Led by the compositions of Sébastien Hugue, the band brings together:

    Vlad Tolordava (trumpet), Jonas Le Roy (saxophone), Mattéo di Leonardo (guitar), Niklas Von Werne (drums) and Sébastien Hugue (composition, double bass).

    Two tracks also features the Iguaran String Quartet.

    Inspired by John Coltrane’s second quartet, the ECM aesthetic and the Nordic jazz landscape, Sébastien’s writing is rooted in emotional expression — a jazz built from simplicity, bodily sensation and inner resonance.

    Through deeply narrative musical figurativism, Playing for Change explores what moves us all: emotions, tensions, and the ways we look at our political and social world.

    “Montuno” is the first band he created in 1985 together with Daniel Moffat and Frankie Rose.

    After that, Vincent Penasse decided to travel to Brazil where he lived there from 1999 to 2010 in Salvador de Bahia.

    During his period in Brazil he had the opportunity to play in different Brazilian bands such as forro, bossa nova, samba and jazz bands. He played with multiple artists including: Lima Alves, Mou Brasil, Tati Lima, Arrocha o no, Roberval Santos and Horracio Barros Reis.

    In the city of Salvador, he met Ricardo Sibalde, which is a musical arranger for Carlinhos Brown.

    Federico Milone - Alto Sax & Ewi
    Joseph Nowell - Piano & Keyboards
    Robert Jukic - Double Bass

    Francesca Murro Blue Sea is a musical project where voice becomes landscape and jazz becomes a living language. Through original compositions, the singer and composer explores musical contaminations born from a deep study of Jazz and contemporary vocal music, shaping a sound that is fluid, evocative, and deeply expressive.

    Rooted in the timeless colors of Jazz yet open to modern experimentation, Blue Sea unfolds as a multilingual narrative. Each piece tells a story in a different language, guiding the listener across emotional shores and inner worlds. Improvisation, vocal textures, and refined harmonies intertwine, creating an immersive experience that bridges tradition and innovation.

    This project invites the audience on a journey: a crossing of musical currents where jazz sonorities resurface, transform, and resonate anew—like waves returning to the open sea.

    Pavlo Cherniavskyi trio + Jazz Jam Session

    Pavlo Cherniavskyi trio is a project which started in 2021 during the last year of pandemic by Ukrainian pianist, self studied in jazz after full classical formation. The war in Ukraine disrupted development of the project till luck and similar esthetic preferences together with experience of studying in Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles brought Pavlo together with Yaroslav Tovaryanskyi, one of the best upright bass players of Ukraine and Louis Kubben, great Belgian jazz drummer. With this collaboration the project got a fresh breath and already made some followers here in Brussels. This time we will be happy to perform some original tunes together with arrangements of well or not so well known jazz standards in a true gem of Brussels jazz scene
