Jazz and Brazilian music have a long love affair. With the release of the album ‘Jazz Samba’ in 1962, followed by ‘Jazz Samba Encore’ in 63 and the famous ‘Getz/Gilberto’ in 64, Stan Getz made a major contribution to the popularity of Bossa Nova. Alain Cupper, best known for his baritone sax, plays tenor here, while Belgian-Brazilian Pierre Gillet plays acoustic guitar, Brazilian Everton Firmeza plays electric bass and Argentine Danny Millan Collazos plays percussion on this tribute to Stan Getz and the golden age of Bossa Nova.
