The Jazztutta Braz 4 is led by Assunta Di Pasquale, aka Jazztutta (Belgian-Italian composer, alto saxophone player, singer & pianist) accompanied by 3 south-American musicians: Vitor Garbelotto (Brazilian guitarist), René-Calvin (Brazilian-Cameroonian bassist) and Carlos Cachi Acosta Ortiz (Cuban percussionist); They bring together Jazz-Latin influences by revisiting themes by Bonfà, Jobim, Mendes. Jazztutta also performs some of her compositions inspired by bossa-nova and samba patterns. The latin-jazz heritage of Paul Desmond in “Bossa Antigua”, “Aliança”, … makes part of their repertoire and brings joyful colors in their music.
