Malick Pathé Sow is internationally recognized as one of the great talents of Senegalese music. A descendant of a long lineage of “griots” (the guardians of tradition and folklore within the halpulaar people) he is a master of the “hoddu”, which is the african ancestor of today’s banjo.
His duet with Bao Sissoko on kora (another west African instrument) has toured the world and won a Top of The World Review for his CD Aduna
In this new formula Malick promotes a more jazzy approach to his music, bringing in veteran guitar player Robert Falk who has made a name for himself in the afro-jazz scene as co-soloist.
Multi-instrumentist Mady Kouyate from Guinea and percussionist Octave Agbekpenou from Togo complete the set-up.
