Olivier Vander Bauwede is a harmonica player from Ghent, studying at the Conservatory of Brussels. He started his career in the blues scene, touring with several international blues and roots bands. As a recording artist he has worked with critically acclaimed names such as the pop band Absynthe Minded and the Senegalese trio Tamala. Since 2022 he has played numerous tributes to Toots Thielemans, sharing the stage with some of Toots’ original band members, such as Nathalie Loriers and Bruno Castellucci.
With this ensemble, Olivier Vander Bauwede presents his new compositions, exploring the connection between modern jazz and traditional blues music.
