SUPER SAX BATTLE was born from the meeting between five saxophonists: Pierre LAFONTAINE, Laurent SPRIMONT, Thomas CHAMPAGNE, Vincent MARDENS and Michel MAINIL
Like a real “duel” of saxophones, the five saxophonists perform regularly on Belgian and foreign scene.
Compositions of Horace Silver, Benny Golson, Jazz Messengers are the essential repertoire of SUPER SAX BATTLE. They are accompanied by a rhythm section which moves strong !
This octet makes live an atmosphere dear to all jazz lovers: that of the cellars of Saint-Germain, that of the film “Round ‘Midnight” by Bertrand TAVERNIER, that of the jazz clubs …
