Joel Rabesolo : Acoustic- Electric guitar
Damien Brassart : Soprano Sax
Orisha Joza : Percussions Drums

Madagascar, Benin and Belgium, three countries, three cultures, but one common passion: the love of music. It was in the crossroads of artistic influences, that these three musicians met. After training in jazz at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, they fused their musical roots with modern sounds. Madagascar meets the complex percussion of Benin, while the percussion from Benin, while Belgium, with its avant-garde music scene, provides a contemporary open to experimentation.

This trio redefines the notion of traditional roots by fusing it with modernity. The simplicity of certain melodic lines evoke a direct connection with the roots of African roots, but what sets their sound apart is the addition of imaginative harmonic nuances.

Fragility, which could be perceived as vulnerability,,here becomes strength. Every note, every silence, is part of a perfect balance where imagination and emotion come together to form a unique musical experience.

This trio is more than just a musical collaboration. a journey, a meeting of worlds, traditions and traditions and innovations.

” A tu per tu ” – Italian Jazz

The Music Village Rue des Pierres 50 Steenstraat, Brussels, Belgium

Filippo Bianchini tenor & sop sax
Luca Mannutza pianoforte

A tribute disc to Italian Jazz with compositions of great musicians such as Franco D'Andrea, Enrico Rava, Roberto Gatto, Daniele Tittarelli, Enrico Pierannunzi, Enrico Bracco, Max Ionata and others.
The title ''A Tu per Tu'' has multiple meanings:
The meeting of the piano and sax.
Through a repertoire that ranges from different songs, by nature and character, often played in the original versions by different ensembles, but which with a work of rearrangement, have been adapted for a perfect marriage of the duo creating sonorities that reach peaks of fullness as a large group.
''A Tu per tu'' as the meeting with each composition and composer chosen for the repertoire.
The love for Jazz and for the musicians who do it well is the origin of this work, which wants to be a tribute to those who seek and spend their energies in something ''beautiful'' to which everyone can and must benefit.

The album received many positive reviews from seasoned critics and audiences
such as:
Stefano Di Battista, Max Ionata, Franco D'Andrea, Enrico Rava, Philippe Catherine, Paolo Fresu, just to name a few of the great musicians who have
listened to us and who know us, have spoken and written excellent things about this
album and our music.

Damien Brassart trio “Rivières” + Jazz Jam Session

The Music Village Rue des Pierres 50 Steenstraat, Brussels, Belgium

Damien Brassart - saxophone soprano, compositions
Jim Monneau - bass
Diogo Alexandre – drums

Damien Brassart trio is a jazz ensemble made up of 3 inspired and inspiring musicians: Jim Monneau on double bass, Diogo Alexandre on drums and Damien Brassart on saxophone. They have already had the honour of playing at the Jazz Station in Brussels in June, following which they had the opportunity to record an album (with the Thöz label).

The trio's music, deeply rooted in jazz and improvisation, suggests letting the flows that inhabit us, question us and move us, to create music that is intense, subtle and inner, constituting a kind of liberatory ritual...

Like an inner swell, the music of Damien Brassart, Jim Monneau and Diogo Alexandre carries us along, engulfs us, submerges us, jostles us, rushes us, but also cradles us, reassures us, soothes us, reveals us and keeps us moving...

With ‘Rivières’, the trio offers a sonic immersion into the world of our emotions, an exploration of the invisible currents that flow through each of us. This original project is conceived as an ode to these inner rivers, these often buried flows of emotion that we too rarely allow to express themselves freely. In this new repertoire (‘Erosion’, ‘Déluge’, ‘La chute’, ‘Mémoires du Nil’, ‘Rivières’, etc.), Damien Brassart invites us to hold nothing back, to block nothing, just to let our inner rivers flow, so that through music they find their natural course.

That's what jazz and improvisation can offer us: playing with the fragility of the moment to let what's there flow and enjoy that freedom.

Miles Ahead

The Music Village Rue des Pierres 50 Steenstraat, Brussels, Belgium

Mardens-Mercier 2 sax for Miles

Vincent Mardens Tenor Saxophone
Stéphane Mercier Alto Saxophone
Vincent Bruyninckx piano
Giuseppe Milacci double bass
Mimi Verderame drums

How to pay tribute to the great trumpeter Miles Davis with two saxophones?
Stéphane Mercier (alto saxophone) and Vincent Mardens (tenor saxophone) decided to come together to evoke Miles through his different eras, paying tribute to his music and especially to the various groups, or rather quintets, he formed throughout the years.

Whether it’s an indirect homage to Cannonball Adderley, Sonny Rollins, or John Coltrane, this project revisits the universe of Miles Davis, with a dream rhythm section and two saxophonists as partners in crime. This project, somewhat like a Mission Impossible, aims to honor Miles' legacy across the ages.

For this quintet, we have gathered an exceptional team: Stéphane Mercier (alto saxophone), Vincent Mardens (tenor saxophone), Vincent Bruyninckx on piano, Giuseppe Milacci on double bass, and Mimi Verderame on drums. Together, we aim to tell the story of Miles' music and the legacy of the giants who accompanied him.
